About group therapy

Why Should You Choose Group Therapy?

Group therapy can help you to really know that you're not alone in your struggles. I focus on creating a warm and inviting space where you can find connection with like-minded people. In this safe and supportive environment, you'll  learn new ways of coping, and thriving in your life. Sharing experiences with your peers can be incredibly validating and reassuring, helping you feel understood and uplifted.

One of the wonderful aspects of group therapy is its affordability. I understand the importance of accessible mental health care, and group sessions are often more cost-effective than individual therapy.

Joining a therapy group also brings a sense of accountability and structure into your life. By committing to a specific number of weekly sessions and engaging with the same people each week, you'll form deep connections and a strong sense of camaraderie. You'll hold space for one another, and witness growth, while providing and receiving support on your journey towards well-being.

Is Group Therapy Is As Beneficial As Individual Therapy?

Group therapy is proven to be just as effective as individual therapy, and it offers a unique blend of benefits that go beyond the one-on-one experience. Giving and receiving support within this close-knit circle can be incredibly rewarding. Being with group members from a diverse background can bring a wealth of unique perspectives.

How Many People Are In Groups?

Typical therapy groups will range from 6-8 people. If there are more than 8 participants in a group, I will bring in an additional experienced therapist to co-facilitate.
